A good home-made mixture of oats, cornflakes, and raisins in the morning with, alas, no coffee - because it aggravates my gut and worsens diarhoea.

A mid-morning slice of toast with natural-set honey on it - supposedly good for digestion, but delicious anyway.

Several pints of red-bush throughout the morning and afternoon.

Simple lunch of soup and a few slices of toast with various spreads on them, including a few veg.  Very little butter or margarine - it turns me into a gasworks!

Mid-afternoon a scone or hot-cross bun with good quality home-made jam.

A good but not excessively large dinner consisting usually of veg and meat, or veg+meat+pasta/rice/polenta etc.  Polenta, made really stiff, is good for stiffening me up when the diarrhoea gets too annoying!

Evening meal always has to be accompanied with a tablet of the digestive enzyme, lipase.  Have read that ARVs can interfere with the gut's absorption processes, causing indigestion.  Somehow the lipase tablets save me from indigestion.  A really fatty meal (very rare) requires TWO lipase tablets.

Evening meal is always accompanied by a glass of red wine (good for your arteries, and helps digestion), as well as a combined multi-vitmain and anti-oxidant tablet.

This is the rigmarole I go through every day.  As simple as I think it's possible to make it.  I hardly ever deviate from it.
